The Lansing MC’s annual Turkey Run was held recently, with an entry of fifty-six
riders, their wives and girl-friends participating. As is not unusual for Turkey-
Runs, the day began beautifully, but before the riders reached the first check, the
rains started. This did not discourage the contestants, because, in true Jack Pine
style, all finished but one, who had mechanical difficulty. The course was about 80
miles long, which would have made a nice afternoon’s ride. Because of the weather,
however, most of the riders were glad to see the finish line, and the hot coffee at
the club house.
Shown are the proud, but weary trophy winners. From left, girl’s solo class, Etoile
Priesman, and in the open class, Beverly Morris, third, Margaret Kronk, second,
and Tom Makle, first.
